Q1: Evaluation of Pipeline Toolbox
Does the evaluation copy of Pipeline Toolbox contain all the programs in the retail version?

Answer: Yes, the evaluation copy is the complete program with a security wrapper that allows the user a 30-day evaluation or period of usage from date of installation. At the end of the 30-day evaluation period the user must purchase and register(unlock) the Pipeline Toolbox software to be able to continue to use the program.

Q2: Register and Unlock Pipeline Toolbox

Answer: To register/unlock the program, the user must send the 8-digit serial number present on the initial Pipeline Toolbox screen to info@ttoolboxes.com, or call Technical Toolboxes at 713-630-0505 to receive an unlock code.


Q3: Cannot Unlock Program
I (a)was able to unlock the program and use it, but later when I tried to activate the program, it indicated the license has expired and would not let me access it or (b) am unable to register or unlock the software.

Answer: This indicates that the software was installed by a systems administrator under their logon ID, or the software was installed by you, but you do not have access to the system registry on your PC. For our Pipeline Toolbox software to function properly on your PC, the program must be installed under your user ID and unlocked under the same user ID. You must also have access rights to the PC system registry, so the program can register properly on the computer. Please check with your IT personnel to insure that you have access rights to the PC system registry.


Q4: Cannot Run Report
We installed Pipeline Toolbox, and when I click on the report box in many of the modules, I get the following error message: "Runtime error 429. ActiveX component cannot create object"

Answer: The Pipeline Toolbox program uses Visio as a report writer and OLE server and requires that Visio be installed to print the report. Visio can be installed from the Visio folder located on the Pipeline Toolbox CD.


Q5: Pipeline Toolbox Annual Maintenance
Why do I need Annual Maintenance for my Pipeline Toolbox software?

Answer: You receive 12 months of maintenance and support free with your initial software purchase. After the initial 12-month period, you must pay an annual maintenance fee to stay current with the latest version of the software. This fee provides you with free software and pipeline regulation updates, version upgrades and online technical support during the 12-month maintenance period.
