PipeBLAST
PipeBLAST, a new user-friendly Windows software program for detailed assessment of pipeline response to buried explosive detonations. The mathematical model implemented within the software application is based on multi-year research program and field tests conducted by the Pipeline Research Council International, Inc. (PRCI) and the American Gas Association (AGA).
PipeBLAST will enable you to:
- Estimate and analyze pipeline stresses induced by blasting
- Define requirements for safe blasting operation nearby pipeline
- Analyze different explosive charge configurations, from single point charge to complex angled grid explosive charges
- Set and run different allowable stress level scenarios
- Included within the application is an integrated database of commonly used explosives
- Included within the application is an integrated pipe database
PipeBLAST also includes two A.G.A. – PRCI technical reports in electronic (PDF) format:
- Pipeline Response to Buried Explosive Detonations, Volume I & II
- Pipeline Response to Blasting in Rock
